# Privacy Policy for the MyPressure! android app

Makermeld ("we," "us," or "our") operates the MyPressure! mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal and sensitive user data when you use our App.

MyPressure! is designed as a privacy-first, local-only utility to act as a companion for QardioARM blood pressure monitors since they are no longer operating and the device has been orphaned. **We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal health data to our own servers or any third-party marketing services.**

## 1. Data We Access and How We Use It

To provide its core functionality, the App requires access to the following data types on your device:

* **Health Data (Blood Pressure and Heart Rate):** The App reads these vitals directly from your QardioARM hardware via Bluetooth. This data is displayed to you in real-time and saved locally on your device to generate historical trend charts.
* **Location Data (Bluetooth Scanning):** The Android operating system requires the App to request Location permissions to scan for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. **The App does not derive, record, or track your physical location or GPS coordinates.** This permission is used strictly to discover and connect to your QardioARM device.

## 2. Google Health Connect Integration & Limited Use Disclosure

MyPressure! integrates with Google Health Connect to read and write your cardiovascular history. 

**Our use of information received from Health Connect will strictly adhere to the [Health Connect Permissions policy](https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/9888170), including the Limited Use requirements.** Specifically:
* We only use the data to provide or improve the App's user-facing health management features.
* We will never transfer, sell, or use Health Connect data for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage purposes.
* Your data remains entirely under your control within the Android Health Connect ecosystem.

## 3. Data Storage and Security

All data collected by MyPressure! is processed and stored **locally on your device**. 
* **Local Storage:** Your historical readings are saved in the App's local, private storage.
* **CSV Export:** You have the option to export your data to a locally generated CSV file. Once exported, the security of that file is managed by your device's operating system.
* **No Cloud Sync:** We do not operate cloud servers. If you uninstall the App without backing up your data to Health Connect or a CSV, your local history will be permanently deleted.

## 4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it or sync it to your own Google Health Connect account.

## 5. Data Deletion and User Rights

You have full control over your data. You can delete your information at any time by:
1.  Deleting individual readings directly within the MyPressure! App history view.
2.  Managing or deleting the App's read/write permissions and stored data within your Android device's **Settings > Privacy > Health Connect**.
3.  Clearing the App's local storage or uninstalling the App.

## 6. Medical Disclaimer

MyPressure! is a logging and visualization utility. **It is not a medical device.** The App does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for medical advice.

## 7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and publishing the revised version.
